Good point. There isn’t a 2 door M5 in existence. If he said “M6” it might be acceptable...

The other day when I parked an E60 series 5 Series passed me, I saw the fender vent and thought “Ooh M5 eh?” But when it went past it only had 2 exhausts on 1 side of the rear. Genuine WTF moment it wasn't an M5 but he replaced his fenders with M5 fenders.
